TRACY DIXON
BACP ACCREDITED COUNSELLOR
A warm welcome to my website. It is lovely to have you here.
I imagine you may be wondering what I am like and what it would be like to work with me? Hopefully this will give you some idea but do get in touch for a free consultation, it would be lovely to hear from you.
I work in an integrative way with my clients so I draw on a number of different counselling theories. My main training is in Person Centred Counselling which means that your needs will be at the core of how we work. Building a trusting, non-judgemental relationship with my clients is key.
My approach is gentle, compassionate and trauma informed. I can help with many mental health problems including anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties or work stress.
My background has always been in roles where I can make a difference to communities. I have worked for charities including the NSPCC and the wonderful St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth. I also managed a Bereavement Counselling Service for 6 years. It was during this time that I decided to train as a counsellor and undertook specialist training in working with traumatic loss and complex grief.
In addition to my private practice I have in the past, worked with an excellent charity which specialised in counselling for those who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual trauma. I gained a lot of experience during this time and this informs how I work today.
I am a BACP Accredited therapist working face to face in Plymouth but also online.
To book a free telephone consultation or to ask any questions please get in touch.
